Stamping Basics 101 (& probably some 102 thrown in for good measure!)
New to stamping? Never picked up a stamp before? Have no idea what to do with stamps? This workshop is for you! You asked us for it & here it is! Join us on December 10, 2022 from 10 am - 2:30 at LI Craft Stop, 49 Rider Avenue, Patchogue.
By popular request, we will spend a few hours learning the basics of stamping - types of stamps, inks to use, paper to use, & how to stamp will be the first part of this workshop, then we'll move on to stamping on different mediums and some fun ways you can use stamps in your cardmaking OR scrapbooking! Denise will demo the techniques and you will have time to try them out & practice in class. There will be no cards made in this workshop, you will practice techniques to use as samples to recreate at home. Feel free to bring pen & paper to take notes or write notes directly on your sample, as this is a "learning, not making" workshop it will be part lecture, part practice! This is the only "card class" this day, and we end in plenty of time for you to get home & changed for any holiday soirée you may attend that night! This workshop is VERY limited because of the supplies required & availability of them. If it sells out quickly we will consider added more seats only if items are back in stock in time & a commitment to pay for the workshop is made in advance. If you are interested in learning these basics, sign up ASAP to get one of the 6 seats currently available!
Included in your workshop fee are a few basics you need to start stamping: a stamping mat, stamp set, stamping block, and ink pad (you will use them all in the workshop), & all the paper you need to practice each technique. You need to BYO stamp cleaner (baby wipes and power towels will work fine for class as well if you don' have stamp cleaner & a cleaning pad already in your stash.) Feel free to bring a notebook & pen to take notes. This workshop will not have any follow-up YouTube videos.
